A Texas Tradition in the Spring
Bluebonnets, the flower of Texas.
I was born and raised in Texas. I love this state. We have mountains, ocean (well gulf), deserts, hills and the piney woods. We travel our beautiful state every year getting to know it a little bit better. And one thing that is a constant Texas tradition in the spring happens to be a flower. Bluebonnets start popping up in Big Bend in February. Then spread across the state covering it in a gorgeous blue sea of flowers. Growing up we always took an annual picture with the bluebonnets. I am not sure why but it is a tradition. Like pecan pie, picnics and fireworks. It is the start of the Spring season.
