Those of us in Texas understand that winter can be anywhere from 1 week to 3 months. The wonderful owners over at Texas Tulips have brought the best way to jump start Spring in Texas with their tulip farm. Why should you love the tulips? It is a pretty far drive to get to them. It is so worth the drive though. Here are my top three reasons why you should fall in love with the tulips in Texas.

It marks the beginning of spring. The official beginning of spring. In the last few years the tulip farm begins blooming in mid February into March. By mid February North Texas is usually either still a little chilly or already warm. This year it was pretty warm. When we went out for our photography session, the weather was perfect. A little chill in the air but the sun gave us such warmth that it was perfect.

It is a day trip that your entire family will love. Y’all my 13 (yes I said 13) year old son still loves going out to the tulip farm and looking around. The varieties are one of a kind. I never knew there were that many kinds of tulips. Our favorites include the ice cream tulips and the fire tulips.

The tulips are photograph beautifully. I cannot tell you how magical the tulip farm can be. The rows of color that, like I said earlier, bring life into the beginning of spring. Spring marks a wonderful photography season for me. It starts so many things I love like bluebonnets and wildflowers. For little ones like this cutie who was practicing her standing in the tulips what better place to capture the adventures into toddlerhood. My sessions in the tulips are favorites.
