Thursday Tips & Tricks | Newborn Session at 1-4 weeks

I love newborn sessions. I think they are intimidating to new parents because they can take a while to shoot but I love them. I love photographing those sweet little people who will never be that size again. They are growing by leaps and bounds every single day!!!

In my newborn information booklet I mention the best time to schedule your newborn session is between 5-10 days. And that is true. It is the easiest time to get those sweet little babies to curl up. They are still sleeping most of the day. And they are still so very flexible from being so brand new.

.

But I wanted to share that sometimes it is beyond our control of when we can have their newborn session. Yes if you can, schedule and book your session before you go into labor. But I wanted to share some newborn sessions that happen at different ages.

notice all the sweet little wrinkles! The earlier your session usually the more little wrinkles they have. Some babies don’t have many wrinkles though, my daughter didn’t have many.

this sweet little girl was not born early. We were able to shoot her session at around 3 weeks old. She was fantastic. She is a little fuller than an earlier newborn but still so little and sweet!
