Ok, so to start off with I have so many titles for this post it isn’t even funny. So instead of keeping them locked up in my silly little head I am going to put them out here.
.
sometimes the odd’s are never in your favor…
don’t give up…
rome wasn’t built in a day…
.
Well, I thought I had lots more but I guess my brain has finally warped.
.
.
But back to the point. Everywhere you look these days are inspirational messages. Don’t give up. Keep trying. And my personal favorite, keep moving forward.
From cards, to the inter webs, to signs on little notebooks, to pins that will one day say inspirational messages when they are idle for over 15 seconds. Wait on that last one, maybe I need to invent that…hum… ok back to the point, again.
.
Sometimes photography just doesn’t work out the way you want it to.
.
Ehhh..
.
That’s life right?
.
.
I often times see people who go out, buy a camera, and want to instantly be a ‘photographer’. Well you know what, owning a camera pretty gives you the ability to be a photographer.
But it takes time, dedication, patience, perseverance, work, sleepless nights, trial and error, practice, work, practice, education, sleep, work, time, patience, and a little bit more sweat to become a…. photographer.
.
And even then sometimes you just don’t get that shot that you want.
.
.
I REALLY wanted a shot with the multi-colored arches with Sophie running through them. A lot to ask of a splash park and a 5 year old. I told her to run through it a few times… she is 5 so it was twice and then she was done playing my games. But I wanted to try and get this shot. I asked her to run again.

.
.
And you know what???
.
.
.
.
That’s right, I didn’t get it. The crazy water came up just as she was running through.
.
.
.
.
Sometimes you get it and sometimes you don’t. When I didn’t, the camera went back in the bag and we went on playing.
