DIY Photo Shoot Shoes
We took a trip out to the tulip field in Pilot Point last Thursday after some photographer friends posted how beautiful they were. Y’all they are gorgeous! I am so glad that we got to spend some family time out there on Thursday after we had all had a week of being sick. So when a few photographer friends posted about going back on Saturday I knew I wanted to go back. But I didn’t want Sophie (my willing model… er… my well paid model) to be in the same outfit. But I also didn’t want to go buy a new outfit either. So I looked around her room for something that she could hang out in the fields in. I liked the entire outfit… until it got to the boots. Now these boots were going to be a DIY from the beginning. I bought them at Urban Thrift, a local awesome thrift store, for $3. I knew I wanted to do something with them.
.
I saw some cute red boots in Targets ads but none of our Targets have a rain boot section. But I couldn’t get those red rain boots out of my mind. So I had two options. Go to a department store and buy some red hunters for kids for around $40-50 or DIY. And being the diy-er I am, y’all know what I choose.
.
So we loaded up in the car and headed off to Lowe’s. The little girl also talked me into a new rope swing. She is pretty persuasive. So there we were with our red spray paint and our $12 worth of rope. I tied the rope to the tree so she could swing… but also so I could spray paint.
.
I am SO pleased with how they turned out!

*now I would do somethings different… I bought the mid level spray paint. I would look for one made more specifically for rubber next time. But for $3 boots plus $4 spray paint. I think I made the right choice.

What do you think?
