Celebrating the beautiful season of the tween!

I love photographing babies. If you have been with me for a while you know my love for all things newborn… baby… and child. I love it. But something that is emerging as much as I love my sweet newborn clients, the tween. Y’all I have been thrown into the world of tween at home and this age, as scary as it can be, is beautiful. The tween age, which can be anywhere from 9-13/14, has become such a growing, learning, and loving age. These kids are diving deeper into their lives, feelings, and friendships. And I think we should celebrate that! As a mom we photograph our new babies every single move. And you know, it is the every single move!! But it slowly slows down and our documenting our days gets to be less and less. We capture some important moments on our phone cameras devices and limit our professional photography sessions to yearly or every other year or a quick holiday card session. And while I love my family sessions, I think we need to take a step back and document the age before high school. The age before they change into the young adult!
