I first meet Lyla when she was days old. Her dad was serving our country and I had the privilege of taking her newborn photographs. I think I will remember her session for the rest of my life. She fought it and fought it. And after 3 hours she fell asleep, and I got 80% of her shots in the about 30 minutes!

It was totally worth it!

So when her mom had mentioned *maybe* being there for the day that Lyla and her Dad got to meet I wished it would work. But with another full time job I tried my best to let her know that I didn’t think it would work out. As I was looking for other photographers for their homecoming I got an email with the time and date he would be arriving. It was perfect!

I am so honored to be able to photograph their military homecoming. This session is very close to my heart. My brother in law serves in the National Guard and some of my very best friends from college are some of the bravest families that I know. They put their lives on the line for our country.
