Another question I am asked is how long a newborn session will take.
The answer? It depends on the baby.
Most newborn sessions in my Plano studio last between 1 and 4 hours. That may sound like a long time, but we’re working with someone who has absolutely no interest in our schedule.
Babies get hungry. They need diaper changes. Sometimes they fall asleep right away. Sometimes they decide they would rather stay awake and see what everyone is doing.
It is completely normal.
I will build plenty of extra time into every newborn session so nobody feels rushed. The goal isn’t to hurry through a checklist of poses. The goal is to create beautiful images while giving your baby the time they need.
The good news is that you don’t have to stress about any of it.
I’ve photographed enough newborns to know that babies make the rules.
We’re just along for the ride.
If you’re looking for a newborn photographer in Plano, Dallas, or the surrounding North Texas area, I’d love to help make the experience easy, relaxed, and centered around your baby.
